Follow the the winding ‘Elf Trail’ dotted with magical festive treats, and cross the medieval moat to discover Father Christmas hidden away in the cosy oak panelled rooms of private country home Mannington Hall this Christmas.
Nestled next to a roaring fire in one of the hall’s large inglenook fireplaces, Santa will be giving each child a precious personal gift to take home and helping them to craft their own festive decorations.
Wrap up warm again to venture out into the stunning grounds, and follow the crisp ‘Winter Walk’, alive with birdsong and dotted with hides to enjoy the abundant local flora and fauna. Finally, reward yourself with a warm mince pie, cream tea or light lunch in the Tea Rooms which will be open throughout the event.
This is a rare opportunity to discover the private stately home of Lord and Lady Walpole, which is not usually open to the public, but has been gifted this Christmas to raise funds for the 50th Anniversary of children’s charity Break. All proceeds will go to help Break’s work with children in care, those with disabilities and their families.
