Norfolk Hotel Cooks Up Idea For The Coast’s Freshest Catch

Chefs at North Norfolk hotel Briarfields have innovated with this season’s mussels to create a tasty range of dishes for seafood lovers. Briarfields is building on its reputation as the best place on the Norfolk coast to enjoy local seafood with the launch of an Autumn Menu Mussels Meze.

The Titchwell hotel, which is featured in the 2015 Good Hotel Guide and has previously run a hugely popular Sushi & Oysters Night and successful Seafood Bar on Sundays throughout the summer months, has long supported local fishermen with its creative menus.

The latest addition takes Ben Southerland’s Brancaster mussels and serves them in a choice of seven flavourful dishes – classic moules mariniere; Thai red curry; curried leek; tomato, sherry and bacon broth; Moroccan style; apple and cider cream; butternut squash and basil.

“Our kitchen team is passionate about taking local ingredients and going beyond people’s usual culinary expectations,” says Briarfields’ marketing manager Jac Sandy.

“Briarfields’ reputation for fish and seafood brings visitors from across the country, and we have always attracted a regular local audience with our sushi and seafood seasons. The Mussels Meze offers a unique range of dishes for mussel lovers to enjoy the best of this season’s catch, and we look forward to our customers sampling each and every style over the coming weeks.”
