Hollyhocks self-catering Holiday Cottage is a former railwayman’s cottage built from red Norfolk Carrstone bricks. It is perfectly situated to explore North Norfolk and beyond. Located in the heart of the charming North Norfolk village of Docking, just 5 miles from Burnham Market, Hollyhocks Cottage has been sympathetically and lovingly renovated to include a wealth of modern creature comforts, while retaining all of its original character.
Sleeping 4, in one double and one twin room, Hollyhocks Cottage is perfect for couples or families looking for a home from home break away in a high quality cottage in Norfolk. This wonderful holiday home provides an exceptionally comfortable stay, all year round. Downstairs you’ll find an open plan lounge/diner, separated by a half height partition with aspect towards the newly fitted kitchen, (February 2021). Appliances include washing machine, dishwasher, electric induction hob, fan assisted oven/grill, microwave and fridge with ice box. The downstairs has also been fitted with new carpet and flooring.
Upstairs, there are 2 double bedrooms (one with an oak double bed and the second with 2 pine single beds, ideal for children or other guests). The bathroom has just been completely refurbished (March 2022) featuring a modern bath with rainfall shower over and vanity sink unit.
Bed linen is provided. Towels can be provided at a modest extra cost.
Hollyhocks Cottage offers free WiFi, Smart TV and Smart Speakers for its guests.
There is oil-fired central heating and double-glazing throughout, so the cottage is as cosy throughout the winter as it is during the summer months.
Outside there is a pretty courtyard garden, featuring hollyhocks as well as other colourful plants depending on the season, alongside a paved patio and shingle driveway. There is also a secluded sun-trap facing southwest, complete with cast iron bistro table, chairs and a wooden bench.
There is parking for one car on the shingle driveway and on-road parking for a second small car.
