Delicious fish & chips on Fish Hill in Holt.
We’ve visited Eric’s Fish & Chips in Holt and we loved it. Portions are generous and the staff are super-friendly.
Their menu highlights the best of the Norfolk coast (a little over three miles away!). Using both sustainably-sourced fish and fresh local ingredients, the restaurant offers all the classics of a traditional British chippy with Modern European influences and refined flavour pairings carried over from Chef Eric Snaith’s three-AA Rosette restaurant, Titchwell Manor.
Favourites from Eric’s Fish And Chips sister restaurants in Thornham and St Ives are on the menu, including classic Cod and Chips in homemade Green King IPA beer batter and fried in traditional beef dripping (with the option of rapeseed oil), and ‘proper’ Battered Sausage, sourced from Dingley Dell, a high-welfare farm in Suffolk.
Other choices include Cod Fishcake with parsley salt and one of our personal favourites, Halloumi Spinach Arancini.
All dishes are accompanied by a choice of homemade condiments, from the timeless Tartare Sauce to Eric’s famous Black Garlic Mayo (ask why it’s black!).
Very family friendly, a dedicated kids’ menu is also available, with choices including Cod, Scampi, Battered Sausage and Fishcakes, all served with Chips.
Got room for dessert? Choose from a delicious selection of East Coast Gelato and sorbet flavours with signature sundae toppings, or why not opt for their delicious Deep Fried Jam Sandwich!
Wash it all down with a Seaza Pale Ale, exclusively brewed for Eric by BrewBoard, or choose from a selection of wines and champagne. Homemade batch cocktails and soft drinks are also available.
Eric’s features modern, quirky interiors designed by Shaun Clarkson ID, inviting customers to dine in-style! Inside the restaurant exposed brick is offset by an eye-catching tiled wall in nautical blues and greens. Quirky tones of orange and accents of brass and formica run throughout.
Open daily from noon until 8:30pm.
