The stunning gardens of Blickling Hall have been transformed into a world of bold, bright colour after their Garden of Lights event opened this week.
Enjoy the colours, smells and sounds of Christmas at Blickling. Begin your visit through the magically lit walled garden, before discovering their garden of lights and lit acorns on the Parterre. Warm up with mulled wine and a mince pie as you soak up the magical atmosphere at night.
We’ve been to Blickling at Christmas before in previous years and it was wonderful to return for this lovely festive, atmospheric event.
Strolling through the brightly coloured lights is sure to fill even the hardest heart with the glow of wonder, while festive snack stops (including a pizza van serving wood fired pizza and the Garden Party Bar selling fizz and cocktails) will warm you up on the inside.
A new, accessible pathway means that the experience can be enjoyed by even more visitors this year.
Senior Visitor Experience Office Paula McGeachie told us that this year, there was no holding back on the colour and quantity of lights.
Paula told us that the vibe this year is very much ‘bold and bright’ – no pastel subtlety here. When it comes to the Blickling Christmas 2021, at least where the Garden of Lights are concerned, it’s very much a case of having a bright little Christmas, filled with colour. A perfect tone after the past 20 months, we reckon.
Tickets must be pre-booked. Garden Lights at Blickling is on now until 19 December. Booking and full details can be found on the Blickling Estate website.
