In an 18th Century building that was formerly the bustling village pub, Old Plough House has been lovingly refurbished to offer an intimate and luxurious Bed and Breakfast experience.
4-Star accommodation is provided in three beautifully finished en-suite bedrooms - the Ochre Room, a super-comfortable double with low, cottage-style dormer windows, the Marram Room, a calming aqua-green double named after the local dune grass, and the Blue Room, a twin with spacious en-suite bathroom. All rooms have digital TV and WIFI broadband, a selection of refreshments and fine toiletries, deluxe mattresses and top quality cotton bed linen.
Breakfast is hearty and wholesome at Old Plough House, with a philosophy that it should be natural (organic wherever possible), local (from the wealth of farmer’s markets, farm shops and delis in the area) and healthy (grilled rather than fried). Homemade bread and kippers from nearby Cley Smokehouse compliment fresh fruit salad and speciality organic muesli. Vegetarians and vegans can be catered for - please mention your specific dietary requirements upon booking.
Field Dalling is only four miles from the pretty Georgian market town of Holt and about three miles from the coast, a location that is perfectly placed for exploring and enjoying North Norfolk. The village itself is surrounded by arable land and features a 13th Century church and numerous interesting old houses.
Rates £35 - £40 per person per night for all rooms (single occupancy £70). Minimum stay of two nights in high season (May-Sept).
Unfortunately, Old Plough House is unable to accommodate pets or children under 14 years.
For a self-catering version of the 'Old Plough House' experience, why not stay at Plough Cottage. Attached to the Bed and Breakfast, this part dates back to the 16th Century and has its own private entrance, garden and fully equipped kitchen?
