Found in the bustling market town of Aylsham, St. Jude’s Gallery is a breath of fresh air for anyone with a passion for art, or simply objects of beauty. Focusing on contemporary British art, craft and design - in particular, that which is distinctive or unusual, St. Jude’s provides a unique opportunity to enjoy some of the very best that modern British art has to offer in a lovely, relaxed setting. Even better, almost all of the work in the Gallery is for sale.
St. Jude’s was founded in 2005, upon a strong philosophy of collaboration with inspirational people, from printmakers to illustrators and clothes designers to painters. The Gallery specialises in modern British printmaking and makes and sells exclusive fabrics that are screen-printed in short runs in Britain. These fabrics are only available from the Gallery itself and a handful of other interior designers and retailers throughout the UK. An eclectic range of artists, including artist-printmaker Angie Lewin, work in partnership with St. Jude’s to produce the striking printed designs.
Alongside the paintings, modern and vintage furniture, ceramics, books and cards, St. Jude’s holds several special exhibitions each year.
Open Thurs, Fri, Sat 10am-5pm and other times by prior appointment (or luck!). Entry to the gallery is free.
