Owner, Annie Gordon (always chirpy and very helpful) ensures that her colourful cavern of loveliness is full of unique and unusual toys, gifts, games and clothing for discerning youngsters (and their paying Parents). Naturally - and here is where the traditional is replaced by the über-modern - the toys and clothing are always safe, fabulous, trendy and, in most cases, fairly traded and eco-friendly too. Brands and designers adorning the shelves of bkidz include the likes of Frugi, Nurture By Nature, Win Green, Manhattan Toys, John Crane, Djeco, Kidorable, Feu Follet and Their Nibs.
If you’re travelling some distance, why not make a day of it? Little Walsingham has a sprinkling of lovely shops (including b-fair, the fairly-traded boutique for grown-ups - just a few doors from bkidz) and interesting historical buildings to visit. It’s also close to Wells-next-the-Sea if you’re hankering for the salty sea air in your lungs and the coastal breeze in your hair.
And if you’d love to experience bkidz but can’t make it to the shop, why not visit their new online shop? Almost as good as being there in person, with free delivery and wrapping. Just the ticket for appeasing diminutive divas.
