Awarded a 'Highly Commended' yellow star rating by the AA for being in the Top 10% of their star rating for overall quality, The Lawns is a luxurious hotel and wine bar situated in an impressive Georgian house in the centre of the charming North Norfolk town of Holt.
On the surface it may seem to be more of a restaurant than a ‘pub with food’, but while it is true that The Lawns does have an elegant dining room, do not be fooled into thinking that this is not a welcoming eatery that maintains all the relaxed hospitality of any popular country pub. With various places to enjoy The Lawns’ delicious lunches and evening meals, including a wonderful garden, patio and conservatory. The Lawns is open all year round to both residents and non-residents of the hotel.
The excellent food available at The Lawns is wholesome and non-pretentious, made with high-quality local ingredients. This is reflected in The Lawns having an AA Rosette award for food (bestowed upon excellent restaurants that stand out in their locale for providing good-quality food prepared with skill).
The ‘pub’ element is well supported because The Lawns boasts a large and impressively well-stocked bar. The wine list is vast and varied, but you can also find several local brews, soft drinks and coffee.
