Summer in North Norfolk. A busy time in which we see an influx of holidaymakers enjoying the marvellous beaches, fantastic eateries and wonderful attractions that our region has to offer. Whether you’ve just driven up from Norwich for some fresh air (and chips by the sea) or if you’re bringing the brood for a well-deserved escape, we hope the weather is generous and that you have a thoroughly enjoyable time in this magnificent part of the UK.
While the virtual pages of EnjoyNorthNorfolk.com are packed with ideas for places to go and things to do this summer, we’ve picked out a few to highlight in this, our June-July offering. Firstly, we have Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Conservation Centre. No doubt already known to most of you as the host of this year's BBC Springwatch programme, it really is a superb day out for young and old alike. Twenty years old this year, it is a lovely, natural remedy to the fast-paced, high-tech world we all now live in.
We also look at The Lawns in Holt, a lovely, luxury hotel and also bar and award-winning eatery in its own right. Welcoming and good value for money, it is perfect for families, couples and friends.
Samphire, a very classy farm shop on the Blickling Hall Estate is also featured. The shop itself should be visited as it sells many a wondrous and delicious item, but the story of the philosophy, and smallholding, behind is perhaps even more fascinating.
We also look at some of the fabulous new summer products for keeping you young and beautiful during the season.
